Løgumkloster Refugium was founded i 1960 by various church and cultural groups in Denmark. The refugium is linked to the old Cistercian monastery and church.
Refugium means "a place of refuge". The fundamental idea of the refugium is peace and rest for the guests. At the same time the conversation about the values and conditions of life is important. The guests of the refugium can go where they please in the refugium, the monastery and church.
A holiday resort Løgumkloster is an old market town: Paved streets and small white houses with red roofs. Cluster around church and marketplace. Furthermore there are many good walking paths in the woods and fields surrounding the small town. To the west of Løgumkloster the Marschland with its dikes and tidal area.
